Nearly half of Rotorua parking fines linked to new plate rules

Approximately 44 per cent of parking infringement notices issued since Rotorua's parking overhaul were for motorists failing to register licence plates on time. Council figures show about 2,500 fines are linked to this requirement. Councillors will consider a motion regarding free inner-city parking next week.
