Teenager pleads guilty to hammer attack at Bay of Plenty hotel

A 17-year-old has pleaded guilty to wounding with intent and assault following a hammer attack at an Edgecumbe pub. The youth was arrested on Wednesday night near Te Teko after a vehicle allegedly swerved at police before being stopped by road spikes.
