Canterbury temperatures expected to drop after high heat

After temperatures soared above 30C in Canterbury on Monday, much colder weather is forecast for Tuesday. Christchurch is expected to see rain and an 8C temperature drop, while parts of the South Island could see temperatures fall by as much as 15C.
