During Operation Beryl, police raided 120 to 128 properties across Auckland between July and August 2025. The crackdown resulted in 30 arrests and the destruction of over 10 tonnes of cannabis. Police warned landlords that many of the clandestine grow houses were hidden in plain sight within rental properties.
