Man charged with attempted murder after Palmerston North shooting

A 21-year-old man is due in Palmerston North District Court today facing attempted murder and unlawful possession of a firearm charges. The charges follow a December 13 incident on Tremaine Avenue where a woman was shot and left with critical injuries. Police say the shooter was known to the victim.
