Auckland councillors have decided not to proceed with a proposed six-month trial of fortnightly kerbside rubbish collections. The trial would have affected approximately 12,150 households across several suburbs, including Te Atatū Peninsula and Panmure. The decision followed public feedback, with 78 per cent of submissions opposing the plan.
