A person died on Sunday after being pulled unresponsive from the water at Titahi Bay in Porirua. Emergency crews and bystanders attempted to assist the diver, but they could not be saved. Ngāti Toa has placed a rāhui from Pipinui Point to Kōmanga Rau Tawhiti.
