Te Patutokotoko has launched legal proceedings against the Minister of Conservation and the Department of Conservation. The hapū alleges the Crown breached Treaty of Waitangi obligations by failing to consult them regarding concessions granted to commercial operators at the Whakapapa and Tūroa ski fields.
