ASB becomes fifth major bank to reduce home loan rates

ASB has lowered four of its fixed home lending rates, including its one-year fixed mortgage rate to 4.79 per cent. This follows similar rate reductions by ANZ, BNZ, Kiwibank and Westpac. The moves come ahead of next week's expected official cash rate decision by the Reserve Bank.
