Strong winds and heavy snow forecast for parts of New Zealand

MetService has issued several wind warnings and watches for the weekend. An orange-level strong wind warning is in effect for Auckland, Great Barrier Island, and the Coromandel Peninsula for Sunday afternoon, with gusts potentially reaching 120km/h. Heavy snow is also expected in the deep south.
