Work continues on Wellington Town Hall redevelopment project

The $329 million redevelopment of the Wellington Town Hall is progressing ahead of a scheduled 2027 reopening. The Government has provided an additional $2 million in funding for the National Music Centre currently being constructed in the building's basement. The site has been closed since 2013 due to earthquake concerns.
