The median house price fell by 1.1% to $781,000 in April, according to the Real Estate Institute. Acting chief executive Rowan Dixon noted the market slowed due to public holidays and cooler weather. In the Wellington region, the average house price has decreased by 5.5% over the last year to $775,000.
