More than half a dozen New Zealanders avoided last week's deadly flash floods on the Nepal-China border. The group crossed the border a day early after their Auckland-based tour operator changed the schedule. The floods, potentially caused by a glacial collapse, swept through a Himalayan valley last Wednesday.
