MetService has issued heavy rain warnings for parts of the North Island, including Auckland and the Bay of Plenty. The Bay of Plenty Regional Council activated its flood room on Tuesday morning to monitor river levels and flood defences. More rainfall is expected in the Bay of Plenty and Gisborne regions.
