A High Court judge has criticised Oranga Tamariki for its behaviour during a legal battle to remove a Māori child from her Hawke’s Bay foster parents. The organisation was ordered to pay more than $100,000 in legal costs. The child is no longer with the couple following personal attacks that made the situation untenable.
