Digger becomes submerged during Waitaria Bay jetty replacement work

A digger became stuck in the sand and was submerged by the tide during replacement work at the Waitaria Bay jetty. Contractors were working on the Marlborough Sounds structure after the previous jetty was closed in January due to safety concerns.
