Officers breached driving policy during police car collision

Two officers met the standard for careless driving after their patrol cars collided on State Highway 1 near Puhoi in October 2024. The Independent Police Conduct Authority found that one vehicle was travelling at approximately 157km/h when it hit another car attempting a U-turn.
