Dunedin man charged with arson over 2024 Waikaia house fire

A 35-year-old Dunedin man has been charged with arson following a suspicious fire on Elswick Street in Waikaia on 21 February 2024. The blaze caused extensive damage to a home and two vehicles, though no injuries were reported. The man is due to appear in Gore District Court on 17 December.
