Wānaka prepares for large New Year's Eve teenage gathering

Tens of thousands of teenagers are expected at Wānaka's lakefront for an informal New Year's Eve event. Authorities are concerned about unsupervised youths, and an alcohol ban will be in effect from 24 December to 6 January. Police have warned parents they may face charges for supplying alcohol to minors.
