A Waikato man has expressed frustration over an optional $10,000 charge at Whanganui Collegiate, one of New Zealand's most expensive integrated state schools. The fee covers the use of boarding and other facilities owned by the school's proprietor. This charge is separate from the compulsory attendance dues required by integrated schools.
