Crown apologises to Ngāti Pāoa as Treaty settlement bill passes

The Crown has apologised to Ngāti Pāoa for actions that left the iwi virtually landless. Approximately 500 iwi members travelled to Parliament to witness the third reading of the Ngāti Pāoa Claims Settlement Bill, which settles long-standing historical grievances.
