Julia DeLuney has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of her 79-year-old mother, Helen Gregory. Following a guilty verdict in July, DeLuney was sentenced at the High Court in Wellington to serve a minimum of 18 years before being eligible for parole. The killing occurred at the victim's Khandallah home in January 2024.
