Construction begins on new mental health centre in Lower Hutt

Work has started on the $88 million Sir Mark Dunajtschik Mental Health Centre at Hutt Hospital. Supported by a $50 million donation, the facility will provide 34 adult acute inpatient beds. The new centre is expected to open in 2027.
