Wellington woman sentenced to home detention after killing mother while drunk

Tepaea Awatere, 25, has been sentenced to 11 months' home detention and a two-year driving ban. She pleaded guilty to reckless driving causing the death of her mother, Vanessa Houpapa, and injuring another person in Naenae in March.
