Man found unfit to stand trial for scientist's murder

A man accused of fatally stabbing entomologist Stephen Thorpe outside a Blockhouse Bay tennis club has been found unfit to stand trial. The defendant, whose identity is suppressed, remains at the Mason Clinic. Justice Graham Lang ruled that the accused caused the scientist's death in August 2024.
