Proposed boundary changes for the 2026 election will affect the Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, and Rotorua electorates. The Bay of Plenty electorate is set to be renamed Mt Maunganui, while Ōropi may become part of the Rotorua electorate. Current local representatives for Tauranga will continue to live outside the area under the new boundaries.
