Investigation launched after boat catches fire on Lake Taupō

Emergency services responded to reports of a burning vessel at Whangamatā Bay near Kinloch on Sunday evening. A person was rescued after swimming for over an hour without a life jacket and has been hospitalised. Police are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
