Waikato Civil Defence has informed an inquest that there were information gaps regarding ground conditions during the Auckland Anniversary floods. The proceedings follow the death of Dave Young in Onewhero on 27 January 2023. The inquest is examining the emergency responses to the record-breaking weather event.
