Southland meatworkers lose unfair dismissal case over drinking video

Three slaughtermen at the Alliance Lorneville plant were dismissed after a video showed them drinking from pre-mixed cans during a machinery repair delay. The workers claimed the cans contained only soft drink, but the employer maintained they were consuming alcohol in breach of company policy.
