Two snowboarders rescued after getting lost near Treble Cone

Two snowboarders were rescued after spending six hours lost in backcountry terrain near Treble Cone. The pair had moved beyond the ski field boundaries during severe weather involving heavy snow, strong winds, and low visibility. Wānaka Police located them about an hour before nightfall.
