Auckland man loses leg after being pinned against power pole

Pawanjit Singh Ghatora was struck by a high-speeding car while walking on Te Atatū Road more than three weeks ago. The vehicle veered onto the footpath and pinned him against a concrete pole, crushing his leg. An off-duty police officer who is a neighbour applied a tourniquet to his thigh during the incident.
