Storms cause power outages and flooding on State Highway 2

Heavy rain and thunderstorms in the Bay of Plenty have left over 200 homes without power. Significant flooding has closed a section of State Highway 2 at Paengaroa to light vehicles. Officials warned that high tides may delay water recession.
