Barge tips at Mount Maunganui marina leaving crane submerged

A 30m barge tipped on its side at the Tauranga Bridge Marina on Monday afternoon. The incident left a crane partially submerged and resulted in approximately 10 litres of diesel spilling into the water. Maritime NZ will investigate the event, while oil booms have been deployed as a precaution.
