Chinese naval vessels have been performing live firing drills in the Tasman Sea, currently located 520km east of Tasmania. Defence Minister Judith Collins criticised the short notice provided for the exercises, though she stated the activity is unusual but not a cause for worry. New Zealand and Australian authorities are monitoring the task force.
