Hikers risking lives by entering closed areas of Hooker Valley track

Up to 20 people a day are entering restricted areas of the Hooker Valley Track in Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park. The Department of Conservation reports that hikers are ignoring safety barriers while construction and explosive work for a new suspension bridge is underway.
