The Hawke’s Bay Regional Council spent $4000 to repair a stopbank on Ford Road in Waipukurau. A ranger discovered the damage, which was caused by 4WD vehicles, during a routine patrol. This follows more than $25 million in previous stopbank repair costs following a cyclone.
