From 1 August 2025, Pharmac will implement rule changes to improve access to certain asthma inhalers and long-acting contraceptives. These updates include providing three-month prescriptions for specific strengths of budesonide with eformoterol inhalers. Associate Health Minister David Seymour has welcomed the changes, stating they are sensible and cost nothing.
