Police investigate unexplained death of man at Hawke’s Bay prison

Police are investigating the death of a man at Hawke’s Bay Regional Prison following an incident on Sunday. The man was found alone in his cell and could not be revived by staff. Officers were called to the facility west of Hastings at approximately 12.45pm.
