Ongoaere Tuakeu and Ngatamaroa Rakauroaiti appeared in Manukau District Court after pleading guilty to multiple violent assaults. The pair repeatedly beat two children with objects including metal poles and a baseball bat over a five-year period while they were in the couple's care.
