Fire extinguished at Takanini scrap metal recycling facility

Firefighters have extinguished a large blaze at a scrap metal yard on Rangi Road in Takanini. The fire, which reached approximately 25 square metres at its largest, broke out on Tuesday morning. Emergency services are currently dampening down hotspots at the South Auckland site.
