Student hospitalised after assault at rural Canterbury school

A student was taken to Christchurch Hospital in moderate condition after being assaulted by another pupil at Oxford Area School on Wednesday afternoon. Police and paramedics attended the scene at approximately 2pm. The school principal is currently supporting the injured student.
