The Teachers Disciplinary Tribunal has cancelled the registration of a Wellington teacher for serious misconduct. The man, who pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual communication, used a fake drug dealer persona to trick a 14-year-old girl into performing a sex act for cannabis. He was previously sentenced to nine months' home detention.
