Te Poi Road closed after truck hits pedestrian near Matamata

A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a truck on Te Poi Road, southeast of Matamata, on Thursday afternoon. The person was flown to Waikato Hospital in critical condition. Police say the road remains closed north of the State Highway 29 intersection while the Serious Crash Unit investigates.
