Rotorua Lakes Council has lowered the projected costs for the Tarawera sewerage scheme. While the price for Lake Tarawera homeowners has been reduced, the reduction was less significant than some residents had expected. Previous estimates suggested households would collectively pay approximately $20 million of the $32.3 million total cost.
