Lawyer Chris Nicholls is asking the High Court to overturn the conviction of Mana-Apiti Brown, a 19-year-old gang member. The challenge argues that the gang patch ban is an absurd limit on freedom. Brown was convicted for wearing a Nomad Bad Company cap at a community event in the Hutt Valley.
