Person rescued after falling into Christchurch rubbish transfer station pit

Firefighters from the Anzac station were called to Bromley on Sunday afternoon after a person fell into a trash area. Fire and Emergency NZ reported that the individual was not badly injured. This incident follows a council confirmation that 28 people have been spotted in refuse pits.
