Man dies following water incident in Omaio

A man has died after being seen struggling in the water off the coast of Omaio in the Bay of Plenty. Members of the public retrieved him to shore and performed CPR, but he died at the scene. Police, fire, and ambulance services responded to the incident on Wednesday.
