Former council worker awarded lost wages after unjustified dismissal

The Employment Relations Authority has awarded $7,500 in lost wages to former Rotorua Lakes Council recreation planner Richard Lyons. While Mr Lyons attended less than half of his scheduled shifts due to health issues, the authority found his dismissal for serious misconduct was unjustified.
