Sex offender appears in court over alleged approach to schoolgirls

Leo Darin Goodwin, 53, appeared via audiovisual link at the Christchurch District Court. He is accused of breaching the conditions of a preventative detention order by allegedly approaching teenage schoolgirls. Goodwin previously received New Zealand's harshest criminal penalty for persistent sexual offending.
