The Government will appoint an Inspector-General of Police following an IPCA report into the handling of sexual accusations against former deputy commissioner Jevon McSkimming. Police Commissioner Richard Chambers described the actions of former senior leaders as inexcusable. The report also revealed that police previously prosecuted a woman who had complained about McSkimming.
